The wet streets welcomed us onto their clean and shiny cobblestones, no competition now for space on the roadway due not only to the wet but the time of day. We spread our arms and took up the whole road following the easy to find Camino yellow arrows accompanied by an Aussie friend we have linked up with again, she had bought me a yellow arrow on a ring for my birthday. We’re back to the wheat and canola fields, the grape vines fading away today while massive bales of hay are sprouting, and mist hazed mountains still and as always forming an imposing dress circle .We soon ended up on our own with no-one in sight, a good time for singing rain songs and doing my speech exercises which soon put the birds to flight. We were joined by our Swedish friend who said her presence was her present..cute. Her enthusiastic and breezy personality seemed to be the catalyst for a sudden gust of wind and driving rain. When she said ‘now you know you’re on the Camino‘ I thought we may have been joined by the Goddess of wind and rain. The Goddess and I swapped stories as we powered off leaving the two Aussies strolling along talking academia. We entered the one street, one bar town of Redecilla del Camino after our biggest day yet and enjoyed story telling time with our friends

We go to Belarado tomorrow looking forward to a room to ourselves, a shower longer than 39 seconds and a towel. Most of all we look forward to catching up with a classmate from the 60’s who is staying close to the Camino

The warning sound of a car’s horn sent a wild deer heading across my camera lens, he or she is one of the photos

Until tomorrow Will
