Still travelling and walking close to the same kms., just a little more relaxed. We’re in Bad Tolz in Bavaria and had an interesting journey to get here. To get to this place we first had to go to Munich then back down to Bad Tolz. In Germany they have saunas everywhere and Bad means sauna. So to get to our place we had to pass nearly through it; then in the same direction to Munich and then way back to our home the place we nearly passed through the first time.
So to begin with we were three trains joined together and we eventually ended up in the second one which proved correct. So we get to the first decoupling of the first, meaning we are now first and third is second. The idea is to save fuel, timetables and time, the three of us travelled together until which time we would have taken number one, the leader, off and dispatched him/her. We now became first, but we had issues.
We broke down at a station, where we were all told to get off. We, the first train were decoupled and driven on for inspection, We waited for the next train to become the first as the third became the second. I then went to confirm with the same people who advised me at Munich, and they said, quick, go back to number three or you may never be seen again!
Back on the train it was fortunate that I memorised the next plan which meant getting off at our station which we did. With our running up and down the train I was not surprised they thought we were guards and asked our advice! Nah, didn’t happen.
We’ll do some hiking for Shakeitup here and then move slowly into the Alps and see how far we can go.
Won’t complain about the Blue Mountains train line after reading your experiences.

Dear W &&&C
[More nervous than before]
That was an impressive story about the carriages. I would have been totally confused but you had focused and found your ways back (I think)
Much mirth detected in your whimsical recounts.
Lovely pics again you’re artists at photography.
Those altitudes seems to have encouraged you to higher attainments. May you achieve them all and feel greatly enthused as we readers – fellow travelers, do!
How exciting you make it sound!
!
Love and joy to you both xxxx
Hello dear Will and Coralie
Greetings from us, and it has been a long time since I last wrote to your blog. It was great to catch up with your travels since I last wrote, and like other friends, we congratulate you both on your epic journey done in amazing time. As some have also said, you are a real inspiration to so many, including your intrepid readers – an inspiration to those with PD and everyone without PD. AS Deirdre wrote, you showed a triumph of the human spirit.
Janine and I only spent very little time in Germany all of 38 years ago, and so it has been great to explore Germany through your eyes and writings. Beautiful landscape and stunning buildings, with such history. You expressed some disappointment that you couldn’t finish your planned journey with a bang, and we were concerned to hear about your atrial fibrillation when you got halfway up Mt Tegelberg. We also appreciated your update about your physical condition, and are pleased that you at least got through all this journey without major setbacks. I appreciate your comment that the main emotion for you at different times has been a real sense of frustration, Which you’ve been able to deal with in a great way.
As Ruth said, we also love your understated comments along the way – great sense of humour!
Janine and I are in Cairns area right now, combing business (some workshops) with pleasure.
Much love to you.
Janine and Narayan
You could go to a PDWarrior group class in Bad Tolz!
We have already run 2 trainer courses there with Kathi leading.
