Donations

The primary goal of my trek through the Camino is to raise much needed awareness for Parkinson’s Disease, however funds for research, treatment and cure are vital.

While I am not asking for donations directly if you are inspired by my trek I encourage you to support the cause of finding a cure for Parkinson’s Disease by donating directly to the Shake It Up Foundation Australia, a not-for-profit organisation established in 2011 to promote and fund Parkinson’s disease research in Australia.

By clicking on the ‘Donate’ button in the right column you will be taken directly to the Shake It Up donations page.

All donations to Shake It Up Australia Foundation are fully tax deductible.

About Shake It Up

Clyde
Shake It Up Australia Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation established in 2011 to promote and fund Parkinson’s disease research in Australia.

Our mission is clear; to find the cure for Parkinson’s disease.

The foundation was established by Clyde Campbell, a father of three and business owner who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2009 at the age of 44. Clyde set out to find out as much as he could about the disease and determine what he could do in a practical sense to assist. His search led him to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF) in the United States and the remarkable work they do to fund medical research targeted at finding better treatments on the path to a cure for Parkinson’s disease.

The Foundation’s vision is also straight forward and fits into two broad categories;

  • To inspire fellow Australians to join the fight against Parkinson’s disease and thereby generating much needed funding to ensure Australian researchers have the necessary resources to undertake world’s best research.
  • To create funding opportunities for the Parkinson’s research community in Australia and to facilitate collaboration within this and the global research community to accelerate the path to a cure.
